A tribute for my stepdad (Harris)
Heavenly father I thank you for the life you gave Harris. Whenever I think of him I find myself smiling. Lord he was always able to be positive, even through the hard times. On behalf of the Maxwell/Jordan family I thank you for sending such a wonderful man to be a wonderful husband to our mum. He made her smile so much, such a kind spirit he was. Whenever my mum started moaning at him (love you mum but its true) he would simply turn around and say 'Im going to call Shanelle and make her deal with you' which he always said with a cheeky smile. Although Harris was only married to my mum for 6 years and they had been together for 12 years, he has been a part of my life since the age of 11 when we moved 10 doors away. I also want to extend this tribute to my mum (Mary Jordan) who has been amazing and done a exceptional job of caring for Harris when he got sick. Mum there is nothing that seems to be too much for you. You are so gracious in your approach to life. I know I have said it before but I am so honoured to be able to call you my mum. Your an inspiration and really are a Godsend. I do not know how you do the things you do and these people here today are not only here for Harris but also for you. You continue to make Harris proud and us also. Lord I praise your holy name, for you Father have blessed this world with this unique woman, a woman of God who does everything in your name and glory. Her spirit allows her to take things in her stride. No additional stress is put on her shoulders, her mind is free for her to concentrate on the finer details. Mum your only concern when Harris passed away was that he looked nice in his resting place, I can assure you he looked dapper, just like he was going to a wedding. God will continue to bless your life mum. I love you more than I can express at times and anything I can do to support you consider it done. Harris sleep well knowing that you have left a big impression in our hearts and that God has taken you into his loving arms. Take your rest, your hard work is finally complete. Thank you Lord for comforting us all at this difficult time. Amen xoxox
